Key Note speakers announcement!!

We are proud to present the following key note speakers:
Call for Participants

The workshop is open to all researchers and industrial practitioners interested in SOA, Web services and related areas.

Walk in attendants are welcome!!

Introduction

Both Academia and Industry have intensified their efforts to realize the potential of Service Oriented Computing and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Even so, there are still many obstacles yet to overcome in the commercial adoption, design and implementation of SOA.

In this 6th International workshop we seeks insight from academia and industry to describe the problems encountered and formulate theoretical and propose practical solutions for their resolution from industry and academia perspectives.

We will bring industry and academia together to publish a compendium of best-practices.

The workshop is a continuation of a highly successful series of workshops at OOPSLA 2007, OOPSLA 2006, OOPSLA 2005, OOPSLA 2004, and OOPSLA 2003.

Workshop Goals

This workshop will advance the concepts identified in last years workshop and aims to share the knowledge and experience of different organizations and individuals in both practical and theoretical aspects of development and realization of SOA.

The main goal is to identify, discuss and promote best practices to properly engineer Web services and SOA. The sub goals of this workshop are:

  • to identify shortcomings of current software engineering approaches when applied to SOA projects.
  • to discuss novel software engineering techniques to promote practical solutions to the currently identified problems.
  • to identify patterns for the development of best practice in SOA application development.
