More than 50% of the features in this software originate from user feedback. If you have a feature request or a bug report, don't hesitate to post them. The best way to contribute is via patches. Fix the code yourself and upload a patch.

Before you ask for help

If you have a question about Middlegen, we would appreciate that you do some research on your own before asking a question. The Middlegen developers' time is as precious as yours.

If you don't follow these instructions, chances are the reply will just contain a link to this page.

• Make sure you understand the difference between Middlegen and XDoclet.
• If you want help from the developers, use the mailing lists, and please don't send private email.
• Include relevant information about your environment so we get a clue about your issue. Valuable information is Middlegen version, SQL source code, database, driver, EJB container, error messages, output etc.
• Try the CVS code. Your issue might already be fixed.
• Search the mailing list archives. You might find an answer there.
• Search the various issue trackers. Your issue might already be recorded by someone else.
• Don't ask about EJB container errors unless you know that Middlegen has generated bad code. If that's the case, show us the bad code and what it would look like if it were correct. Please consider whether the forums for the EJB container or XDoclet are more appropriate.
• Understand how mailing lists work.
